All are welcome to join us for our American Creed documentary program today at 1pm at the Main Library. Although we have reached our limit for sign-ups for the boxed lunches, still come join us to watch this important documentary and participate in the moderated discussion afterwards. Free, no sign up required today.

Sun. April 28 at 1pm. (Adults and teens) Join us for a community conversation focused around the documentary American Creed. Produced by WTTW Chicago and Citizen Film, American Creed explores authentic American stories, national ideals, and identity from diverse points of view. Hosts Condoleezza Rice, former U.S. Secretary of State, and David M. Kennedy, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, come together from different points of view to investigate the idea of a unifying American creed. Their spirited inquiry frames the stories of people striving to bridge deepening divides in different communities around the country. View the 1-hour documentary while enjoying a box lunch. This will be followed by discussion moderated by Lori Garkovich and Rick Schein. This program is presented through support from the American Library Association.
